We use Exclaimer to manage professional signature blocks, that are consistent across our firm. We also use it to manage holiday season messages and promotional banners included in our business email.
  • Integrates with active directory for information
  • Design professional looking signature blocks
  • Allow quick updating of information, with active directory sync
  • The signature block designer is a steep learning curve, but logical once you do understand it
  • Submission of support tickets could be improved
  • In rare instances where emails are generated using a third party, there can be issues relating to the from field not being set correctly that can cause crashes.
A great product. Easy to use and reliable. Easy to deploy and integrates well for businesses that are on-premise, in the cloud, or a hybrid of both. I highly recommend Exclaimer and I have experience with deploying and using at least 3 different products.

Exclaimer is a signature add-on utility within our M365/O365 platform. Azure AD is configured with our "signature" groups. Users in these groups will have a company signature at the bottom of all outgoing Outlook emails. It is highly configurable, allowing consistent branded content to reach email recipients. The problem of looking for updated contact information for a company or knowing what department customers may be interacting with is instantly solved. Furthermore, we have also configured a "signature w/bookings" group allowing for a MS Bookings link attached to signatures of key users to support our showroom appointment system with integration into our w/MS Outlook Calendars.

  • SSO service seems to be lacking something. Although we have Exclaimer added as a SSO app in Azure, we've had challenges when adding new users into the Exclaimer portal for template editing when implementing SSO from M365.
  • Also, on the topic of adding new users, the links that are sent and the landing pages from them, along with the login errors (if any) - can be confusing. Resulting in users getting a frustrating first impression.
  • Although our signatures look great with standard hyperlinks! A new feature might be animated gif or something a bit more dynamic w/text that wouldn't flag security filters or run endlessly. Just some next level graphic option to get noticed or be remembered in an often crowded inbox.
Exclaimer is well suited for any business in any industry that needs professional, standardized, consistent & highly customizable signatures. It has an easy to use intuitive interface for creating signature templates. It's easy to update just one template that will then update many users signature lines. In our case, as a SMB, we integrated it w/ O365 / Outlook, which did require some level of "technical setup" in Azure AD to function. I suppose smaller businesses could rely on standard signature templates from their email provider / software but these will need to be managed individually & really don't integrate as a marketing tool.

Exclaimer cloud helps us standardize our email signatures with a very clean and professional look. This was previously up to each user to set on their own and there was very little consistency. Exclaimer is able to pull employee information so that it is consistent with our other internal systems.
  • Incorporating and syncing over company data from MS365 is a smooth process.
  • The system is very good at ensuring that all company emails are caught and have the proper signature applied.
  • Very strong and reliable support that was able to assist with our configuration issues.
  • Their US & UK based servers are separate, we needed to manually transition our account to another when we realized we were based in the wrong region.
  • Slight learning curve with the UI that we were able to work through with some time.
  • Imported user data is not visible on the Exclaimer end. It's usually very consistent but it would be nice to sometimes confirm what Exclaimer is pulling over, specifically.
Our experience with Exclaimer has overall been very good. The only point that stands out to our experience would be how our account was originally set up on the wrong server region. I was unable to find out exactly why this happened when the account was created but could have been on our end. When I noticed that this service was being hosted our US based organization in the UK it raised two concerns. First, we block all incoming connections to our 365 from all outside countries. So an extra exception needed to be created for Exclaimer. Second, this meant that all our mail was being routed overseas and back which felt unnecessary. This was resolved by creating another, US based account and transferring over our configuration. Once created, I was able to schedule a time with one of their techs that walked me through the entire process until we confirmed it was working. This made the process so much easier than what I thought I was in for. Exclaimer has been running great for our entire organization since.

Managing banners for users has always been a headache, exclaimer removes this and allows you to centrally manage your users, create different groups with different banner formats and individual customisations. Any updates to user data only needs to be updated in Office 365 and the data will auto update in exclaimer. Setting up new users is really easy and straight forward. Overall this has allowed us to effortlessly maintain all our email banners regardless of the method used to access emails be it outlook, Web browser, mobile/tablet app so it always looks the same. Over the months this saves the IT Team quite a lot of time too.

  • Different levels of user access so you can define what each user can do.
  • Template editor can be a bit frustrating to get used to and some options are only available when you setup the fields intiataly it would be much more user friendly is these options/menue were always available.
  • List of all users using exclaimed service has to be requested from Support, I would like to see this info in the portal as we pay per email and we review this monthly to ensure we keep our costs controlled.
If you are in charge of maintaining the email signatures in your organisation using exclaimer will save you so much time. Data is synced from office 365 very quickly (you do have the option to force the update if you don't want to wait for the auto hourly sync) and many fields are available to insert into the signature so for one signature you could display mobile number (eg sales rep) for customer support you could have just the main business contact number. You have lots of options on how you want to control which signature is applied and when. If your showcasing special offers the business is running in your signature banner only using exclaimer it only takes one user 2-3min to update the new banner image, check the hyperlink is correct and then save the changes. This will then get automatically pushed out to users, no need to get each user to replace their banner (could even be across multiple devices/apps) and update the hyperlink it just saves so much time and really makes email signatures management effortless.

We have been using Exclaimer on-premises solutions internally as well as for our clients for more than five years. The product has always delivered great results. Since we started enforcing MFA on managed Microsoft 365 accounts, we have moved to Exclaimer Cloud Office 365, which is more than up to the task.

Exclaimer is a great product for enterprise environments. It integrates seamlessly with Office 365 to pull user details and update their signatures automatically and either globally or by the department. It's definitely a fit for every organization with the need to manage signatures in a centralized way.

We initially used Exclaimer for our team members most likely to communicate externally; at our license renewal we decided that we should use Exclaimer across the whole organization. Exclaimer addresses two problems for us, (1) inconsistency in email signatures and (2) making internal and external announcements/sharing blog posts and videos with our team and the outside world.
  • Allows variable messaging according to conditions
  • Allows variable logos based on conditions (we have multiple company logos)
  • Support--we get very quick and complete support
  • Almost all of my issues with Exclaimer have been learning curve issues that have been resolved.
  • The issue of image size/quality on logos has been an annoyance because our logos were created long before we adopted Exclaimer. This is probably an us problem vs. an Exclaimer problem, but it seems to manifest differently on different operating systems and devices. It's a pain to explain to users.
  • Would like to be able to restrict signatures on replies and we have not been successful with that. We plan to push to server side in the next two months, which may resolve it.
I have no experience with other signature programs but I really love Exclaimer. Our signatures were like the Wild West! All types of different formats, fonts, unapproved logos--we were all over the place.

We have over 30 brands under our main umbrella, with a single user looking after many of these brands as once. This can cause headaches when trying to separate our branding, especially when sending emails. It would look very unprofessional if we were to send an email out with the wrong signature or domain name. Exclaimer Signature Manager Exchange Edition has helped us to set a default signature but also allows the agent to optionally choose a different signature, depending on the type of correspondence required. The ability to connect it to Active Directory and dynamically pull user profile fields is key for us.

  • The interface for creating the signatures is a little buggy
  • When editing the HTML, it is not the final HTML that the signature is created with so that can be frustrating when trying to tweak it.

Exclaimer Signature Manager Exchange Edition has been a fantastic tool for us for a lot of years. It has done exactly what we have required in terms of being able to set specific signatures for each brand, and keeping that separation between our divisions. We are, however, now looking to move the majority of our organization's computer systems to the cloud. We are going to be looking into Exclaimer Cloud Edition to help us handle this leap however that comes at a significantly higher cost so we will likely be on Exchange Edition for a while longer yet.
